Subsidiary Connecton Fasteners (www.connecton.be), with its main production site in Sprimont, is the Belgian market leader in roof and wall fasteners and a supplier to construction distributors in 27 countries.


The Galvan subsidiary in Harzé is active in the surface treatment and electro-galvanising of metal parts.


As part of our strategic growth and the expansion of our product range, we are looking for a plant manager for our Sprimont and Harzé subsidiaries. 

PLANT MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day management, organisation and monitoring of the two production units.

  • You will guarantee a safe and correct production policy (safety, productivity, quality, tidiness and environment) and make proposals to optimise production efficiency.

  • You will motivate, coach and assess your colleagues. You set up skills grids and training plans to improve the skills and versatility of your teams. If necessary, you will recruit or use temporary staff.

  • Occasionally, you will support sales initiatives with local customers (key customers, new customers, quality improvement, etc.).

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You are an industrial engineer (or have equivalent experience) with proven experience in an industrial environment and an affinity with mechanical engineering.

  • You are a real team player and enjoy being out in the field.

  • You communicate easily and effectively and demonstrate leadership skills.

  • You are sensitive to continuous improvement and change management.

  • You speak French, and knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

  • After receiving your application, we review it with due consideration.

  • If your first impression is positive, we will invite you for an introductory interview with our HR manager at the head office in Menen.

  • This is followed by a second interview at the future workplace, together with the direct manager.

  • After the second interview, we plan a short assessment to better map out your competences and personality profile.
